ANNUAL HUMAN TRAFFICKING COMMUNITY ROUNDTABLE & LUNCHEON
For may of us, living and working in the OC is a dream come true -- but for some, it is a nightmare. The Junior League of Orange County started hosting an Annual Human Trafficking Roundtable, as a way to educate attendees on the impact transportation and travel have on this growing crime. As a major travel destination hub, Orange County is a great area to spark this conversation and spread the awareness of how and why travel and transportation companies can work with local law enforcement to help stop and prevent these abuses. Check back for information on our next roundtable.
IDENTIFY & SHARE COMMUNITY ISSUES
In your work in the community, have you ever thought, “This is an issue that needs to be addressed” or “Attention in this area would really help the people my efforts in the community support?” The JLOCC is soliciting ideas for potential issue areas to be addressed in Orange County, CA.
Suggestions can include ideas for new topic ideas that could be researched, new laws, or a change in an existing law. This is a great opportunity to help identify important community needs that could translate into a JLOCC project or legislative priority.
Submissions can be sent to JLOCC Public Affairs VP here.
