Training Vice President

Carissa Beatty

Carissa joined Junior League of Orange County, CA in 2012, and has served across several areas of the organization in roles including California State Public Affairs Committee (CalSPAC) Delegate, Nominating Director, Chair of the New Member (Provisional) Program, and on the Samueli Academy and Funding Outreach committees. She is grateful for the wealth of opportunities Junior League has provided to give back to her community, share her expertise in training, and develop a passion for supporting women as leaders.

She works for the Emory Centers for Training and Technical Assistance at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University. She manages training programs for the public health workforce, specializing in the use of technology to facilitate collaboration and learning. She also serves as an evaluation consultant to help organizations measure the impact of health and wellness initiatives at the community, state, and national levels.

She holds a Master of Public Health degree from Emory University and a BA with a double-major in Biology and East Asian Studies from the University of Delaware. Having spent her formative years in Delaware, Carissa has found a second home for the past ten years in sunny southern California. When not volunteering with Junior League, she enjoys travel, running marathons, backpacking, hiking, trying the latest workout fads, reading, and listening to live music of any kind.
