While not serving as Board Assistant, Melanie Dumas is the Assistant Vice President of Training with Pacific Life Insurance Company. Melanie began her career in the insurance industry in 1997 and has been leading training teams since 2000. Prior to joining Pacific Life Insurance, she provided training and training leadership for other large insurance companies (MetLife, Sun Life). Melanie has experience providing training leadership on topics including sales skills, customer service, leadership skills, products, operations, and technology.
Melanie graduated with a Master of Science in Adult and Organizational Learning from Suffolk University in Boston and Bachelors Degree from Providence College in Rhode Island. She holds her FINRA Series 6 license. Melanie is certified to deliver a variety of training programs through vendors such as Achieve Global, Wilson Learning, and Ridge Associates. She is an active member of the Association for Talent Development (ATD) and a past board member for ATD Orange County. She also is an active member of the Junior League of Orange County and volunteer with CURE (Citizens United for Research in Epilepsy).
Melanie and her husband Lance, relocated in 2007 to California from Boston, Massachusetts. She is still an avid fan of Boston sports and enjoys traveling, reading and cooking in her free time.
