Carissa is serving as Nominating Director for 2017-18, her fifth year as an active member of JLOCC. Before coming to the Nominating Committee, she served as Provisional Chair and on the Samueli Academy and Funding Outreach committees.
She holds a Master of Public Health degree from Emory University and a BA in Biology from the University of Delaware. She currently works for the Emory Centers for Training and Technical Assistance at the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory managing training programs for the public health workforce.
When not volunteering with JLOCC, she enjoys running, trying the latest workout crazes, travel, and anything that involves being outdoors.
