Shannon has been a member of JLOCC since January of 2019. She immediately raised her hand and started her active membership being double placed on the Communications and Fund Development Councils. Taking her past experience in the event industry as a high school Activities Director and ASB Advisor, she jumped at the chance to apply her skills to the nonprofit world and make an impact while producing fun and meaningful events. After serving as the Special Events Manager and leading the committee to produce two virtual events, including the brand new Self Care Series and the 2nd annual She Is Women’s Conference, she is excited to lead the Fund Development Council!

Born in OC but raised in Virginia, Shannon hails back to the motherland after completing her undergraduate studies at Pepperdine University where she majored in French and earned her CA teaching credential. After teaching for over 7 years at the high school level, she turned her passion for wine into a career by joining  the Corporate Sales team at ONEHOPE Wine. She passed the Wine and Spirits Education Trust level 2 certification with distinction, and plans to continue advancing in her wine knowledge.

In her free time, she’s probably taking care of her many houseplants, doing yoga, or watching the sunset at the beach!
