Shannon has been a member of JLOCC since January of 2019 as a way to meet women outside of her (then) circle of educators. She has taken full advantage of the leadership development opportunity the League offers and jumped in with both feet into the leadership pipeline. Her past leadership positions within the League include Special Events Manager, Fund Development Vice President, and Executive Vice President-Elect.

Born in OC but raised in Virginia, Shannon hails back to the motherland after completing her undergraduate studies at Pepperdine University where she majored in French and earned her CA teaching credential. After teaching for over 7 years at the high school level, she turned her passion for wine into a career by joining the Corporate Gifting team at ONEHOPE Wine where she leads wine tastings and produces custom wine gifting. She passed the Wine and Spirits Education Trust Level 3 Certification with distinction, and plans to continue advancing in her wine knowledge (i.e. is always up for opening a bottle)!

In her free time, she’s probably taking care of her many houseplants, doing yoga, or watching the sunset at the beach!
