Mackenzie, a Kentucky native, joined the JLOCC when she moved to Orange County nearly nine years ago to meet like-minded women, hone her leadership skills, and serve her community. She is currently serving as the Nominating Director and her past placements include Director of Finance, Risk Manager, The Christmas Company Treasurer and Operations Manager, and Fund Development Assistant.
In her non-JLOCC life, she works as the Energy and Sustainability Manager for Chapman University. She is also a faculty member in the College of Environmental Science and Policy where she teaches classes on corporate sustainability, and environmental management. Mackenzie is also in the final stages of her PhD program and plans to defend her dissertation on community adaptation to climate change impacts in December. In her free time Mackenzie loves traveling (30 countries and counting), reading – especially true crime and mysteries, and hanging out with her cat, Twinkles and dog, Bourbon.
