The JLOCC Experience

The Junior League of Orange County, CA (JLOCC) was founded in 1956 with a rich history of volunteer service. For over 60 years, JLOCC has provided its members with training, leadership skills, and the opportunities to make a difference in the lives of citizens throughout Orange County. Today, it is a diverse group of dedicated women working to make a positive impact in the Orange County community by focusing community action, and education and advocacy for women and children. As a nonprofit, its purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.

JLOCC has more than 600 Provisional, Active, and Sustaining members. Our membership includes executives, community leaders, entrepreneurs, business owners, mothers and professional women. Collectively, JLOCC members provide over 500 hours of service to various events and organizations each year.

As a member of JLOCC, you are also a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International, Inc or AJLI.  Comprised of 292 Junior Leagues in four countries, AJLI has been providing support, guidance and leadership development opportunities to member Leagues since 1921.

True to their mission, today’s League members work at the forefront of social reform, tackling the toughest and most critical issues of the day—including childhood nutrition and obesity, human trafficking, foster care, juvenile justice, teen self-esteem, cybercrimes, literacy and the environment, among others—for the purpose of enhancing the social, cultural and political fabric of civil society.

AJLI strives to unite all the Junior Leagues; provide continuity and support; and serve as a steward for the Junior League Movement. Today, through regional, national, and international meetings, comprehensive resources and customized consultations, the AJLI adds value to member Leagues in their fulfillment of the Junior League Mission.Learn more about the AJLI Vision, Mission and Values here.
